I was on a blog site that I love, “Women Living Well” and came across one of her entries about what if you only had 6 weeks to live? I clicked on it fast and had no idea what I was about to listen to.

Her name was Rachel, she was a Godly woman married with 2 kids, 5 & 7. She has beat breast cancer 5 years earlier and has now learned that her cancer had returned to her liver and has spread to her bones & skull. Her days have been numbered to 6-16 weeks – but she felt compelled to speak and share with the world her message – “Death is Not Dying”.

As I watched this video I cried like a baby. She explained all the times she had told her kids no only to find out she said no cause it was an inconvenience for her or another mess she would have to clean up. I can relate to this cause I have a 12 & 7 year old who need my attention. I sometimes get tired and take it out on my family. Rachel now finds herself saying “yes” alot more these days.

These words Rachel spoke really spoke to my heart, “I am not the only one dying – so are you.” We don’t know when our days will be up”. We are sure not promised tomorrow so treat every minute like its your last.

If you were told you only had 6 weeks to live, how would life change for you?

This video is 55 minutes long but will promise you that it is worth every minute. If you have to watch it in parts do it and pass it out.

As I walk away from the computer with a better understanding of my purpose I am convicted that I dont thank God enough for my healthy body. I am always trying to lose weight instead of praising God for my healthy body. God please forgive me for being selfish of my health body. Thank you for another day to learn more and more about you through Jesus Christ, my family and the wisdom to surrender myself to you.
