Good afternoon friends, its Treasure Tuesday’s! Hope your having an amazing day. Thanks for stopping by today. Every Tuesday we talk about tips & ideas that we can insteel in our children to love them the way God loves us.

How many times have we got upset with our kids over small things? I know I have, to find out later it was not them at all. Our daily lives seem to be getting busier and busier and that adds more stress to our daily walk. We then take it out on our kids feeling bad later.

The Lord tells us in Ephesians 4:2 “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love” This helps remind me take a breath when our children do something that just really makes your blood boil. Stepping back to evaluate the situation will get such a better response from your children. I am embarrassed to say that I have done this but with practice I have been able to step back and not take my frustration out on my kids. This also helps teach them not to lash out when things bother them, teaching them to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.

In James 3:16 “Where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder” Sound familiar? When we take are frustrations out on our children it creates disorder and that is a form of us being selfish.

Take a breath when your children do something that gets on your nerves and be slow to speak and slow to anger and watch how your kids react differently to you. Loving out kids like God loves us is teaching them how to love in every situation. What could be a better reward then to see our kids mimic what we teach them.

I would love to hear your struggles with this topic and how you handle it in a Godly way.
