I will have to say that I am SO excited about what I have to share with you today. Did you know that it is 25 Days till Valentines? Wow that means it will be here before you know it.

I want to challenge you all this Valentines to do something different, something selfless”.

My sweet friend Courtney over at Women Living Well has another challenge for our marriages called “25 Day Praise Plan”. We will be encouraging, praising, inspiring, admiring, building up, thanking and appreciating our husbands.

Lets stand together this Valentine Day and not make it all about US, let’s pursue being selfless and living according to Philippians 2:3-4 ” “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”(NIV)

We think of our husband and being strong, confident, well put together human beings, however they are still HUMAN!  They carry insecurities, fears, failure and burdens that they may not share or show to us!  Being sensitive to these hidden characters will bring your marriage to a place that will blow you away.

Week 1 starts TODAY! Look for ways to praise your husband verbally: Praise him in front of the kids, friends, family, co-workers, on facebook, tweet it – get praise out anyway you can!

Try to mention something noteworthy he has done – in his role as provider, father, husband, lover, or friend. If the thought of trying to come up with one terrifies you, then pray right now that God will give you new eyes to see your husband as God does. Then open your mouth and say something kind and uplifting to your husband today and tomorrow and the next day until Valentine’s Day arrives!

One of the best times to express praise to your husband is first thing in the morning.

How do you greet your husband every morning?
Does he feel confident in your love?
Give him a “wake up call” that he will never forget.

A big “I love you” and an “Im so glad I am your wife” will blow him away!

“The heart of her husband safely trusts her, so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life” Proverbs 31:11-12

I wanted to share this quote with you because it truly does have it right on the money with what he said:
When you touch your husband’s deepest need something good almost always happens!”~  Dr. Emerson Eggerich

May the next 25 days bring peace, happiness from God that you have not seen in your marriage. I would love to pray for each of you that is taking this challenge on with me.
Please leave your name and husband name so that I may over you for the next 25 days. I cant wait to see how the Lord will move your marriage this Valentines Day!
