This week she comes with Cream Puff Dessert. I have to say that I LOVE sweets and anything with whip cream. So I know this will be a family favorite or a dish to take to someone in need.

Cream Puff Dessert

mix together boiling water, melted butter, flour- batter will be thick

Add eggs and beat well. Bake in an UNGREASED 9x 13 pan set to 400 for appx 30 mins or until lightly browned and “puffy”

In another bowl combine pudding mix, and milk

Once pudding is well mixed, add room temperature cream cheese and 1/2 tsp of almond extract

Combine well

When pastry puff is cooled- add cream cheese/pudding mixture over top

In a separate large bowl pour whipping cream in and beat vigorously until soft peaks form.

Add 1-2 TBSPs of sugar (do your desired sweetness) and a tsp of vanilla. Beat well again. (you may also prefer powdered sugar instead of granulated)

Spread whipped cream over pudding mixture ( You MAY use cool whip as a short cut, if you desire- I am all for it)  Drizzle with chocolate sauce – This is such a delicate (and very addictive) dessert. I hope you enjoy….
Cream Puff Recipe:
1 cup boiling water (2 mins in the microwave will do)
1/2 cup melted butter (1 min in the microwave will do)
1 cup flour
4 eggs
8 oz cream cheese (room temp)
2 small packages of vanilla instant pudding
3 cups of milk
1/2 tsp of almond extract
1 pint whipping cream in carton
sugar to desired sweetness
1 tsp of vanilla
Chocolate Syrup

In large bowl beat water, butter and flour until thick. Add eggs and beat well. Spread onto an UNGREASED 9×13 pan and bake at 400 for appx 30 mins (until lightly browned and fluffy).

Let cool.
In another bowl add instant pudding and milk- beat well. Add cream cheese and almond extract and beat well- this make take a while to get to a nice, smooth consistency (it is okay if it has small lumps). Spread over cooled pastry. Beat liquid whipping cream on high until soft peaks form. Add sugar and vanilla and beat well again. Spread on top of pudding mixture.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup.
