My kids love to make cookie dough and eat the dough, I know it says dont eat cookie dough raw 🙂 They dont eat too much but they eat enough to make their bellies hurt.

When they get this urge, which is not all the time, they love to make the cookie dough themselves. I love watching them gather all the ingredients, ask questions to insure they are prepared and doing every correctly, most of all the tasting once it is all finished.

Monday my son Wade (13), decided he wanted some cookie dough, which he has done a million times, he gathered all the ingredients, read the directions, put everything in like it said and starting mixing.  His master piece had been complete. He yells at me to come to the kitchen to TASTE the finished product.

I gathered some dough on to a spoon and headed for  my mouth for the finale………. I puckered, washed around and then swallowed with the tainted taste I had ever tasted.

It had NOT turned out right. It took me a minute to figured out why it tasted so taint, he had put WAY too much SALT. It called for 1/2 teaspoon, he put in half a cup!!! Yikes

It just got me thinking, how many times to we put in way too much world and too little of God? We take for granted that we know who He is through studying Him daily, through apply what we learn to our lives, thinking that we can fight off the enemy when he comes.

When in fact when we put in too much world and too little of God the opposite happens, we start to forget what God says about that, we are not applying His word to our lives and most of all we can not fight off the enemy when he comes.

God is big and not taking that for granted will help us to have much more of God and little of the world!

How have you put too much world and too little of God?

 Romans 12:2
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is His good,
pleasing and perfect will.”

Loving Him Greatly,
