“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5).
We were in Florence SC playing baseball with my 8 year old and his team. My husband is the coach. They all know their positions, what the signs are, what their role are on the team.

They practice two times a week to put it into action on the weekend. One of our games my son gets up to bat, he gets ready for the pitch, ball was called. He steps out of the batter box and then back in to set up for the next pitch, its a hit into left field. He runs to first, safe.

The next team member comes up to bat, he gets ready for the pitch, Peyton steals to second base, safe. There is a coach on first base and third base to give the boys signals on what to do next. Peyton is on second, he is to keep his eyes on the third base coach for the signal, the batter gets ready for the pitch, and Peyton takes off without getting the signal from third base coach, OUT the blue yells.

Third base coach says son why did you run when I didnt give you the signal, Peyton says, I thought I could make it on my own.

As this took place, God reminded me how we dont wait for His signal, we do things “our” way. We study, we apply what we have learned into our lives, we know what God has taught us, only to have a lap in judgment to not wait for a signal. That one moment we didnt look for the signal, changed everything because we didnt wait for the signal from God.

How many times have you failed to get the signal from God and took it into your own hands? Only to find out “Your Out”?

Thank goodness God doesnt yell we are out, and that be the end. He gives us grace to get up and try it again. Seek God in all that you do and stay 2 steps behind Him.

Always look for His signals and never run on your own!!
