Does Your Life Reflect Christ

Is there enough evidence to convict you if charged that you are a follower of  Jesus Christ?
Wow! That is a bold statement.
Does your life reflect that Jesus Christ lives inside you?
Through your home, how you speak, how you parent, how you handle things in your marriage, your finances, how you dress, how you deal with issues that arise daily.

Can the world look at you and see there is something different about you?

Paul tells us in Romans 12:2 “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will”
The more we know about Jesus Christ, the more we know about God. Studying Gods word daily, studying Jesus Christ inside and out gives us great knowledge of who God is and how we are to live in this world.
How can we share Him with others if there is NO evidence that He lives inside us? How can we proclaim the gospel if we dont truly know who Jesus Christ is?

These are questions I have asked when I see people who say they are Christians however their life does not have any evidence that Jesus Christ lives in them.  How can that be the case if they say they are a Christian? I am not judging them, I am merely thinking that if that is what being a follower of Jesus Christ looks like (which does not follow scripture) that is not what I want my walk to look like. I want there it be SO much evidence that when people look at me they see something different and see Jesus Christ.

Matthew 7:21 is very clear ” “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Attending church on Sunday or special holidays through out the year is not enough to reflect Christ in us. We must be intentional daily, reading the Bible, study daily, get to in small group studies, be around older/wiser followers, ask questions, pray for Gods wisdom to show us how to love like Him, live like Him, see like Him.
Matthew tells us how to have evidence of Jesus Christ in our walk Matthew 7:16-20 ” You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits”

What we do, what we say, how we act, how we react in our lives is a reflection of God when we say we are followers of Jesus Christ. I encourage you to pick up the cross daily, study daily to learn who God is through Jesus Christ so that you can LIVE out who God is daily and have plenty of evidence to show that you are a TRUE follower of Christ.
