Why we homeschool

I get this question alot, “Why did you decide to Homeschool?”

The answer was made very clear to me while take notes as to what all was going on in the public school system.

SIN!

It is everywhere. Our world has become SO desensitized to things around us, that the things are children are learning before its their time, is unreal!

There are many reasons why families decide to Homeschool however I will be sharing my heart and how the Lord showed me why this is important for our family.

Solomon reminds us in Proverbs 22:6 that training up our children in the way, that when they are old it wont depart from them.  God has given me stewardship over my children, for a short time (Psalm 127:3), I will be accountable to God, not the world.
Can we effectively train up our children in “the way” they should go and send them to a public or private school?

Sure, however they are spending more time away from us then with us. Are time is so precious and short with them that personally I do not want to “un-teach” what they are being taught in the secular system.
They are not teaching the TRUTH!
It is my responsibility as the mother to teach my children “the truth” and help prepare them for the battle field (the enemy) that awaits them.

Our days are becoming shorter and shorter and SIN is becoming thicker and thicker.  How can we teach our children how to apply all of Gods commandments in their life, diligently, if we are only practicing Deuteronomy 6:6-7 part time?

The real war is between TRUTH and LIE, that there is no such thing as absolute truth.

I want to make sure that my children are truly prepared with Gods truth when the battles come (Ephesians 6:12). Teaching them day and night, diligently over and over again is what God has ask me to do. I am honored that He trust me enough to set the foundation for my children.
Taking the time out to nourish my children brings great light to their future, preserves their integrity, fertilizing their minds, cleansing their walks, and giving them a clear view as what a Christian life looks like.
Its not IF the battle will come for them, its WHEN the battles comes for them,
WILL THEY BE READY?
Are they wearing Gods truth to be able to fight off what the enemy has in store for them? Will they be carrying Gods sword (His word) with confident?  Will they fight for God when no one is there to guide them?

These are questions that I ask myself and know that if I DO NOT prepare my children these answer will be much different. Taking my role as a mother to nourish my children and coat them with Gods truth, is a honor. He has in trusted them to me and I know that taking the time out to embrace each moment will prepare them for the battle field when the enemy strikes.
We Homeschool so that we can show our children Gods truth daily and so that our children can apply Gods commandments to their life, diligently!

Investing in our children as their parents, are children’s hearts will be in the stages of becoming alined with God.

If you have consider Homeschooling and have not taken that step yet, I encourage you start in prayer. Let the Lord be your guide. He knows what is best for you and your family and most of all will equip you to carry out what He has called you to do.

Happy Homeschooling!
