Day 24 – Showing Thankfulness Throughout Your Home

If you're new here, I would love to have you join our community. You can subscribe to my RSS feed or subscribe by email so you don't miss a thing!

One of my favorite things to do to teach my kids anything is to display it all over the house. When we can see if daily, we are consistly reminded.

Here are a few ideas that can be used through our your home to show thankfulness. Getting the kids involved is a great way to get them rooted in thanksgiving.

The Thankful Jar

Everyday write what you are thankful for and stick in in the jar. At the end of the week take a moment to read them out loud. This is a great time for family time and to soak in what everyone is thankful for.

Thankful Feathers

This fun product is made out of yard and construction paper. Everyday add what you are thankful to a feather and add it to the turkey. Before long the turkey will be ready to go with a ton of feathers. You can read them at the end of every week or wait to the turkey’s feathers are full and then read them. Another fun craft with the kids so that they can remember what they are thankful for everyday.

Thankful Sticks

This craft is easy and for all ages. Thankful sticks are just popicle sticks. Write down what you are thankful for on a stick every day and then put them into the cone to be read at at the end of the week. This can go on your kitchen table or coffee table. Have it out so that the family can see it daily!

Thankful Chain

This fun prodcut can hang from a door frame or you can put it on your tree. Take strips of pattern paper and write down what you are thankful for everyday then staple them together to make a chain. Everytime you walk by you are reminded of what you and the family are thankful for.

Taking the time out to find fun easy ideas to share with your family will bring memories and root thanksgiving for years to come.
