Good Morning sisters! I am SO excited to share with you something that I have been working on.  Would you humbly help me welcome ASHLEY from Stay At Home Daughter as a Contributor to Becoming a Strong Woman.
So many of you have emailed me with your struggles being single and Ashley has a great insight to this very thing. I prayed about it someone filling this very important role for you all, and the Lord laid Ms. Ashley on my heart.
Ashley will be sharing with us the first Monday of every month. I know you will be blessed & encouraged by her walk just as much as I am and will know why I ask her to join us here!
So lets get this Party started and INTRODUCE Ms. Ashley:

Hi, my name is Ashley Schnarr and I am so excited to be a new contributor to Becoming A Strong Woman Of God! Thank you so much, Sonya, for this wonderful opportunity!

I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself. I am a 2009 homeschool, high school graduate. I’ve decided not to go to college at this time and you can read all about Why I’m Not in College here. After high school I made the choice to stay at home and began focusing on honing my homemaking skills and filling my life with other vocations and ministries. I started my own cake decorating business a few years ago, I enjoy singing at my local church and I am a new author of the book “Keeping House… While Keeping Sane”.

I’m excited to see how the Lord is growing and changing me to be more like Himself. I am constantly amazed by the grace of God and that He chooses to use weak things like me for His purposes. For this reason I’m Glad I have a Learning Disability you can read all about that here.

I am also a passionate blogger. I write over at Stay-At-Home Daughter, a blog dedicated to encouraging Biblical femininity, sharing homemaking tips and ideas and reviewing helpful resources for life skills and your Christian faith. I would love for you to stop by for a visit!

Sonya asked me to write a few posts specifically for single women since singleness is the stage in life the Lord has blessed me with. I have been single for my whole life, all 19 short years of it. 🙂 That may not seem like a very long time when compared to others and I’d be the first one to say that I’ve still got a lot to learn but God has chosen to teach me a lot during the last few years.

I’ve often said I feel older than I am, not because I’m claiming some great maturity or because of the few white hairs I’ve recently spotted (can those really be here already?) but because God, for His purposes, has brought me through so many lessons in such a short amount of time.

My hope is to share with you some of the lessons I’ve learned so I can hopefully be an encouragement to you.

Sometimes singleness can feel like such a lonely time but remember you are NOT alone! There are women all over struggling with the same things you struggle with. Don’t ever believe the lie that your are the “only one” going through this but most importantly remember that the Creator of the universe is near and involved in every detail of your life, even your singleness.

My hope is that you will find encouragement here and a drive to lean closer to Him.
