If there is ONE thing that I LOVE about my blogging friends, is they help me stay on track with my Walk with God and they don’t even know it.

Sweet Courtney over at Women Living Well has a 5 Week, 5 Discipline, 5 Challenge going on this month. And will say it could have not come at a better time in my life.

I know when I am being DISCIPLINE in all areas of my life, I am a better wife, mom, and keeper of my home. I am also at my best for when God calls.
So let me be real honest, when it comes to food and exercising I lack discipline big time. I can roll out the excuses like no ones business.  I start and stop more often then a transit bus Smile

I am really good at coming up with excuses however the truth of the matter is, I am LACKING DISCIPLINE!

Courtney shared this wonderful statement from Elizabeth Elliot:

The Christian’s body houses not only the Holy Spirit Himself, but the Christian’s heart, will, mind and emotions – all that plays a part in our knowing God and living for Him…the body was a gift to me. Whether I will thank God for it and offer it as a holy sacrifice is for me to decide.”
Making time to exercise every day is possible, making better food choices by meal planning is possible but I lack discipline so it is makes it harder.
This is why I am joining Courtney in her 5 week, 5 Discipline, 5 Challenges. 

The 5 areas of Discipline are:

Mind, Body, Spirit, Work & Time

Here is Week 1 challenge:

Name 1 healthy habit that you would like to work on establishing in your life over the next 5 weeks. It could be cutting back on junk food, fast food, or soda pop. It could be to exercise more, drink more water, or get more sleep. Name it in the comments section…often times we are more apt to follow through on commitments when we have told someone else!

My personal goal is exercise 6 days a week and find joy in it!
