repurposed life

I have to admit when I was first contacted by Michelle asking if I could review her new book The Repurposed & Upclycled Life things were crazy busy in my life and I almost missed the opportunity! Michelle so graciously contacted me again and I am so blessed that she did.

Doesn’t the front cover make you already feel right at home?

“Sometimes I wish we could be entirely real about out insecurities and shortcomings instead of pretending the obvious doesn’t exist. What if we were real? What if we were as honest about our failures as we are about our successes?” ~Michelle Rayburn

As you start to dig right in, Michelle shares some deep truths that we as women face every single day.  I could relate to Michelle dearly and loved how she was real. I laughed, thought deeply and constantly reminded its all about Him. This book is a reminder that we all are a work in progress and are in need of His grace daily. This world paints this picture that we are to be perfect, never flawed. However Michelle brings to light, through the whole book, that we need to let go of those disappointments for not being perfect and all the guilt that ways on us. To find hope in God who through Him we are being changed into His image.

“Grace means focusing on what God has done rather that on our own attempts at performing well enough to be accepted” ~Michelle Rayburn

I love how Michelle weaves Gods word along side her being real so that we can see our circumstances in a whole new way. Reminding us that God is not done with us yet.  One of my favorite parts of this book is at the end of every chapter is a time of reflection.  It helped me focus on my relationship with Christ and gave some creativity ways to embrace each chapter deeper.  I love when an author takes us deeper, to draw us closer to Him.

Michelle will take you to some uncomfortable places and show you how to break free of those lies to let God renew you. You will refreshed, refocused and most of all knowing that God will finished what He started in us. {Phil 1:6}
