I can not believe we are about to embark on another year passed.

This will be our 4th year homeschooling and I have learned so much along the way! One of the most important things is how attending a Homeschool Conference can bring such encouragement while on the journey. Being around other like minded homeschool families provides a sense of comfort that is beyond words. This was the best advice I took from families that had already been homeschooling for sometime. There is so much wisdom to glee from long time homeschooling families. We have made attending Homeschool Conferences part of our school year. This helps us to take a look at where we need the most encouragement and that is how we decide on where we will attend. We go as a family so not only can dad/mom receive encouragement, but so can our son.

I can not say enough how adding a conference or two has changed our homeschooling. It gives us that little boost we need when we feel like giving up. Learning from others who have been doing this longer provides hope and new ways to provide for our children during this journey of homeschooling. I use to think I could do this alone, that is so far from the truth. We need others around us that are like minded, they help push over the speed bump and give those encouraging words at just the right time.

There are 3 ways that attending a Homeschool Conference can be encouraging:

There are many around the globe however if you are unable to attend, take a moment to check out your Statewide Conference. I live in North Carolina and will be sharing with you our Statewide Conference, Thrive, The NCHE Homeschool Conference. This will mark their 31st annual conference. If you have attended this conference before you might see some changes. They introduced a new name, Thrive, which reflects their goal and mission.

“NCHE has a vision for flourishing families and thriving generations in which people remain passionate, curious and actively engaged in their faith and in their learning…”

This conference is for the whole family. The most common question that I get asked is who should attend NCHE? Everything from thinking about homeschooling, to just getting started, right down to the seasoned homeschooler. No matter where you are in your homeschool journey, this conference is for YOU! Take a peak at all the things available for the kids!
